10/12/02 - With the trip to Washington D.C. cancelled, the Dragons "bonded" tonight, with the girls watching a chick flick and sleeping over Molly's house and the boys stinking up Alex's house with the remnants of dinner at Lulu's Noodle House. Senior Matthew Meisel, junior Casey Rubenstein, and freshmen Mike Gross and Laura Stocksdale were the winners of the 2-man-7.5-mile race earlier in the day. There will be practice on Monday at 9:45a at the Oval, and there will be a pasta party either Wednesday or Thursday.

10/09/02 - The last City League meet before City Championships will be tomorrow at Schenley Oval. Yearbook photos will be taken, so it is important that all runners attend. Runners who are going on the Washington DC trip this weekend need to turn in their money and permission slip to Coach Flynn as soon as possible. Runners interested in a team sweatsuit should contact Molly Ainsman.

10/05/02 - Girls 3rd at Central behind NA, Lebo - At the Central Catholic Invitational today, the girls' varsity, running with all seven runners for the first time this year, placed third behind winner North Allegheny and runner-up Mt. Lebanon, who beat the Dragons by only 11 points. Senior Molly Ainsman led the team, followed by freshman Sassi Kerpedjieva and junior Torrie Caruso, running her strongest race of the year. The boys', plagued by more injuries and depleted by the freshman race, placed 17th in the varsity A race. Senior Ron Warnock and junior Charley Monroe led the boys' varsity, and freshman Jordan Haber placed 12th in the freshman race.

10/02/02 - Thanks to all those who braved the mosquitos at the pasty party/sing-a-long Wednesday night. The next race will be the Central Catholic Invitational this Saturday at Schenley Oval. Come watch Allderdice compete in five different races.

10/01/02 - Dragons best City competition again - On a lethargically hot day at the Oval, Allderdice wins its fourth straight City League meets. The girls, behind junior Torrie Caruso, sweep the top five spots, scoring a perfect 15, and the boys, behind senior Ron Warnock, place 1-2-3-5-6 for 17 points. Sophomores Joey Rosenberg and Andrew Morgan run PRs in the 80+ degree heat.

There will be a pasta party tomorrow night at the Meisels' house at 6:30p. Please bring food, drinks, plastic cups, silverware, and plates.
