Wolfson takes Fairview Invite, 'Dice boys second
By Alison Knezevich
ERIE, Sept. 1--The Allderdice cross country team got off to a swift start at the Fairview Invitational in Erie, PA. The team had pleasant conditions for its
first race, with sunny weather and temperatures in the 60’s. The boys’ varsity team finished second out of 12 teams overall, with senior Ian
Wolfson winning first place. Sophomore Tom Jech and junior Rob Warnock also placed in the top ten.
Due to a schedule misunderstanding, the girls’ varsity team missed its race, but all five girls (Molly Ainsman, Torrie Caruso, Lara Nagle, Tina
Karan, and Julia Nagle) had times that would have placed them among the top 25 varsity girls. Additionally, they would have won the team title.
The junior varsity team looked strong as well, with senior Emily Dziubek placing third in the girls’ JV race. Senior Sam Ennis, junior
Marc Stiller, and freshman Jake Cox placed in the top ten boys JV runners.
